In the 1980s Choo-Choo Customs did exactly what we all wished the factory would have. They utilized the Monte Carlo SS front end on the El Camino. Under the hood is a nice surprise. The El Camino SS was a V8-powered machine, but this one takes it to the next level. This 5.7-liter powerhouse is larger than what you got in 1984, and the TPI fuel injection is a system that was in the best Camaros and Corvettes of the late 1980 and early 1990s. It's sort of like it has the right heart had the El Camino been allowed to live a little longer. Not only was the motor upgraded, but you also now have a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. So this feels like a great classic for trips near or far.
