The awesome patina look makes this 1957 Chevrolet 3100 give the first impression of a workhorse. But with an upgraded interior and a terrific BluePrint crate V8 under the hood, you can really see that this has been made to be a true cruiser.
This is a carefully crafted patina. The consignor states he spent some serious hours sanding and smoothing this for the proper style.
If creating a patina offends you, then you already don't get the point of this truck. We like a worn patina pickup, too, but this gives it a different vibe. There are no doors falling off or missing pieces from the fender. Instead, this kind of patina celebrates impressive sheet metal while also giving it an aged distinction. In fact, that even gloss that shows off the clean body looks like a clearcoat... but it's really just a cut and buff on top of the meticulous sanding! It means this patina knows how to complement the big polish on the bumpers, bezels, and grille. Even the glass has the clean look of a solid investment. Sure, you still have the right classic shop truck details like the missing antenna and well-worn lumber on the bed floor. But rally wheels, modern tires, and polished dual exhaust tips remind you this just likes to give you a distinctive total cruiser appearance..
Just like the exterior, the interior gives you some worn-in style of a true classic truck while also using the right investments to give this a true cruiser feel. For example, you still have a bench seat. But it has better cushioning for better comfort, and the diamond contrast stitching is a nice touch that adds style. There are still the right touches of age and patina, including the steering wheel. But you know the real aim was to be a better drive with upgrades like the tach on the steering column, Lokar floor shifter, a three-speed automatic transmission, and under-dash auxiliary gauges.
The engine bay has an attractive and tidy style with plenty of polished components to draw your eye to the motor. This 350 crate V8 is made by the performance masters at BluePrint. It's built with the right go-fast goodies, like aluminum heads, an aluminum intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The BluePrint shows the motor is dyno rated 414 horsepower at the crank, and the growl of the dual exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers lets the world know its superiority. And because this likes to be a cruiser, you'll also appreciate nice supporting pieces like the aluminum water pump, chrome pulleys, an HEI distributor, and a Champion aluminum radiator.
This comes complete with build receipts and a dyno sheet. You're looking at a truck that has a cool way to deliver a distinct patina and a powerful heart that will make you want to show it off everywhere. Call today!!!
