Armed with a cold air intake for some extra power, it starts right up and has a very healthy idle. It pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission that's optimally geared for the powerplant's output, with the lever to engage the surefootedness of four wheel drive within very easy reach of the driver. The overall driving experience this Land Rover offers is very impressive - it's running great and drives with a smoothness you likely wouldn't expect from a ride featuring its 16" Beadlock-style wheels and their sizable 37" Maxxis Trepador tires. Power brakes that feature discs in front will bring it to a stop in short order and its power steering is light but responsive for easy navigating.
