Owner's Manual |
For many, the Triumph TR6 is the pinnacle of the traditional British roadster. And the green color combo with upgraded tan interior looks quite attractive. Plus, it has a powerful inline six motor and fully independent suspension. So it's the perfect mix of vintage, nimble, and fun.
While all classic British roadsters are attractive, the deep green seen here is always an interesting choice. After all, it's fun to have a British sports car in a shade called British Racing Green, especially when this has the TR6's correct Union Jack on the rear fender. And this one really seems to take the extra time to get the appearance right. So the nice gloss to the finish is not only desirable for a sunshine-friendly convertible, but it also does a good job of showcasing the good body panels. Plus, the shine of the newer chrome bumpers adds to the radiant style. It's part of an overall package that reminds us the TR6 was thoughtfully designed. The way the hood and the fender join to integrate the headlight housing; the stylish profile kick-up within the doors; and the racing-inspired flat rear end with a hint of overhang - it's all sporty and distinctive.

Description
The snug-fitting black convertible top looks nice against the dark green exterior, and with one hand, you can take it down to reveal an even more attractive interior. After all, tan and green are a timeless color combo inside and out. Plus, we were told the upholstery was redone about a year or two ago, and so the seats have a vinyl that looks and feels as good as some people's leather. And with an older wood finish on the dash gives this a classic elegance. And this is a true driver's car with a grippy sports steering wheel, well-placed shifter, and proper Smiths gauges (a true staple of British classic sports cars.)
The TR6 is particularly coveted for its motor. It has a 2.5-liter inline-six backed by dual SU carburetors, so it's one of the most powerful lightweight British roadsters of the era. You can tell by the ultra-tidy style that this has been well-maintained. And there are good newer fundamentals like the plugs, wires, coil, hoses, and brake booster. It fires up and runs with the kind of confidence you want in a classic driver, and the four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the powerband. Add in the fully independent suspension, power brakes with discs up front, a full dual exhaust, and a grippy set of Firestone Firehawk tires, and you have an unbeatable feeling on the open road.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and service manuals. This deep green machine delivers the best of a traditional British driving machine. That's why it deserves to be in your garage. Call today!!!
