REAL VC BEL AIR, YEAR CORRECT 265 V8, 3 ON THE TREE, LONG TERM OWNERS, HARDTOP!

A 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is already quite an attractive classic, but this one has the kind of story we love. We're told it's a three-owner vehicle where the first owner was a long-term one (about 45 years). The second owner also cherished it, and sold the hardtop to his son. It makes for a nice V8 coupe that has the right mix of vintage care and good cruiser additions.

Coral and Shadow Gray is a year-correct two-tone, and it's exactly how you want this coupe to look. It has an instant sense of standout class that is earned on a Bel Air with an appreciated history. In fact, there's a sense of respect all-around the car with well-fitting large doors, clean glass, and pliable weather-stripping. The chrome bumpers, grille, and jet-inspired hood ornament are all shining nicely, and it all just has the right hint of age that helps tell this car's unique story. It's such a true classic that you'll even have a hard time spotting the well-integrated upgrades. For example, the gray was resprayed later in life for a brighter metallic glow than stock, but your nostalgia just tells you it was always so radiant. And Chevy's famous Rally wheels were not yet available in 1955. Most casual ... Please ask for the full description.

Most casual enthusiasts won't notice, but the stock color-matched wheels also come with the sale if you like that better. It's all part of the iconic hardtop style you love in a total package that's also easy to drive and enjoy.

Perfectly complementing the handsome exterior is a wonderful set of coral seats with gray cloth inserts. And it all coordinates nicely with the dash, carpeting, headliner, door panels, and even the steering wheel. This one has all the great vintage elements you love, right down to the Corvette-inspired dual cowl dash and the AM radio that's there for a display. It makes for the kind of car where you'll leave all the windows down on the pillarless hardtop just so others can get a better look inside.

The 1955 Bel Air introduced us to Chevy small block power, and that's a big reason why it's a benchmark. So it's terrific to see such a vintage presentation under the hood. In fact, this factory VC-code hardtop still has a year-correct 265 cubic-inch V8 block. So while the level of limited ownership there is certainly a suspension of originality. It keeps all the best stock features, like the oil bath air cleaner, Rochester dual-barrel carburetor, Chevrolet script valve covers, and Delco-Remy generator. But because this one also likes to be a good cruiser for today, you'll spot the right maintenance everywhere from the good hoses to the Optima red top battery. And part of this vintage cruiser attitude means a driving experience like you to feel the road. So it's a true classic, right down to the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. But those Rally wheels let you fit nice tires like this modern set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws.

This is the iconic classic made even better by a well-loved history. Are you ready to write your own chapter in this V8 Bel Air's story? Call today!!!
