It's easy to love a 1969 Ford Mustang because they have a mean-looking style. But this one does it better. It delivers on the classic appearance you want, but now there is upgraded V8 power, a full custom body theme, added driver amenities, an upgraded suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. It makes for a unique vintage coupe that's even more fun to drive and show.
The '69 Mustang coupe ushered in some new design touches that really resonate with many of us. There was a touch of added elegance with a rear that included a hint of flying buttress style. And the front reflected more attitude of the muscle car era with the longer overhang and blackout grille. It's a sporty and sophisticated appearance that this one uses as a base for something special. This starts with a custom body that borrows the best pony car design touches. The deep chin spoiler, hood scoop, and competition-style Torq Thrust wheels look like a track-ready Boss Mustang. Plus, the side scoop trim and integrated rear spoiler look inspired by the California Special cars. And the paint theme is truly unique. At first glance, you may just see a steely gray, but as you look closer, you can see it's a custom two-tone. And while the contrast of the colors is subtle, it is uniquely intricate as they intertwine and create a cool racing stripe.
The black interior has plenty invested in speedy-style upgrades, but it's good to first note how there was also a lot of thought about added comfort. There are nice newer fundamentals like the carpeting, headliner, and door panels. And the Shelby-style door inserts are a nice touch. It has upgrades like a cup holder center console, provisions for R134a air conditioning (currently needs servicing,) and a full stereo system featuring an AM/FM/CD deck, Bluetooth, and upgraded speakers including an Infinity 12-inch subwoofer. This one was built to be a powerful driver, and you can see that with additions like the Corbeau front racing seats with harnesses and a four-point roll cage that adds strength to the whole coupe. The Grants GT steering wheel has an excellent sports car grip, and upgraded readouts on the A-pillar for oil and coolant are like a classic head-up display.
Under the hood is an era-correct 351 cubic-inch V8. You'll love showing it off because everyone can also clearly see there have been plenty of proper investments in power and style. It has a nice upgrade in performance with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. You'll also spot good supporting components like the Monte Carlo bar, an MSD distributor, a Painless wiring harness, a Wilwood master cylinder, and an Optima red top battery. As you look underneath, you'll see more strengthening upgrades, like subframe connectors and traction bars. There's also a stout FMX three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, grippy ZR-rated tires, and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes.
This Mustang has plenty of custom flair on the outside, and there's a solid investment in upgrading performance all-around. It makes for a terrific custom power classic that you know needs to be in your garage. Call today!!!
