The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette closed the book on the first generation with some unique features. So when you can find an actual miles example that was restored correctly, and still retains the important original components - like the numbers-matching V8 and four-speed - then you know you've found something quite special.
This car absolutely represents a distinctive classic. After all, when was the last time you found a 1962 car with an actual miles title? So this is going to attract plenty of attention from Corvette fans just for such a low odometer. Fawn Beige is a distinct color only offered in the last couple of years of the C1. When the sunlight rolls over the glossy well-done paint, you get a deeper appreciation for the coves in the sides and flowing fenders. It also showcases all the things we love about these later C1s, like the quad headlights and sleeker hood. Plus, the ducktail rear was an addition that previewed the era of the C2 and established the iconic four round tail lights. The Corvette had evolved into a much more serious machine by this year. So while you still get those great wraparound chrome bumpers with a mirror-like shine, the factory replaced its toothy ... Please ask for the full description.

The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette closed the book on the first generation with some unique features. So while you still get those great wraparound chrome bumpers with a mirror-like shine, the factory replaced its toothy grille up front with a darker style that wants to consume lesser roadsters. It's all of these details that make the 1962 car an icon for both style and speed. So we're glad it's so well presented here.
While the car looks great with the white top in place, we really know that your favorite days will be the ones with the roof down. The fawn interior is just as distinctive as the exterior. So while we love a Corvette in red or black, this one is such a special year and careful restoration, that it seems correct that it earns precious metal tones that come from all of this metallic fawn. We love the smooth curves of the dash, the plush two-tone carpeting, the classic grip of the steering wheel, and a full gauge package with a prominent tach that feels road-ready. There's even an extra-clean trunk, which is important because this was the final time you saw this on a Corvette for over 35 years. If you're looking for perfection, you may repair the driver's seat, blower motor, or the classic Wonderbar AM radio, but those are the little things that don't distract from a fun driving classic that is memorable everywhere it arrives.
All '62 Corvettes received the 327 cubic-inch V8, but not all were created equal. The suffix code on the motor tells us this was optioned with the more powerful 300 horsepower. So we're especially excited to see the numbers-matching higher-performance motor still in the engine bay. The presentation under the hood looks terrifically honest with the Corvette script on the valve covers, bright air topper, and bold block nestled within the darkness. This one fires up easily with a terrific rumble from the dual exhaust. And the four-barrel carburetor and four-speed manual are the perfect duo of power and control while still driving a true classic on the open road.
You can tell from the way this one looks and the way this one drives that this special low-mileage car has been given the right care and investments for decades. So when it's time to drive distinction, it's time for this final-year C1. Call today!!!
