With its full gold and chrome presentation, this 1963 Ford Thunderbird is rolling opulence. From the big V8 under the hood, to the full power features of the interior, this is your opportunity to own a piece of the vintage luxury lifestyle at a terrific price.
The bullet-nose birds are a true styling marvel. These third-generation cars were more Lincoln than Ford, and they were happy to showcase it. You see it in all the styling touches like the premium hardtop profile, fender skirts, and how the chrome front bumper is an integral part of the styling. Plus, there's the crisp trim line that starts in front of the headlights, runs the full length of the body (expertly integrating the door handles,) and not stopping until it reaches the afterburner-style taillights. It sets the tone for the car and makes this a true legend. Not only can you see all of this so well because the panels are amazingly straight, but also the factory-correct Castilian Gold received a professional respray later in life to make sure it all shines like precious metal.

Inside, the gold interior coordinates nicely with the exterior to give the full premium appearance. It has the kind of cool seat color that could only come from the '60s, but it also has a subtle elegance of good stitching and complementing hues. So you know there was also a solid investment here. Just like the exterior, the gold is supplemented by plenty of silver-style trim, including the anodized aluminum that flows like water seamlessly from the door panels to the dash, and then it cascades down the center to form the console. Even the steering wheel matches this color theme, and beyond that are jewel-like gauges. The whole presentation fits with this idea of rolling luxury. Because of that, the T-bird also came loaded. This retains its factory-correct luxury with power windows, the factory AM radio, and provisions for factory air conditioning. Even the famous Swing-Away steering column is there to make entering this classic hardtop a breeze.
Ford's large 390 cubic-inch V8 and a four-barrel carburetor created the right kind of power for the Thunderbird. Advertised with 300 horsepower on tap, it moves this cruising coupe around with ease. The engine bay follows the same theme as the interior and exterior. So not only is it quite tidy, but also you have a golden air topper and bight polished valve covers. It fires up nicely with an authoritative hum out of the dual exhaust that seems perfect for this mature T-Bird. The Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes all work in harmony to help keep the ride luxurious.
