A hot 440 V8 under the hood, a cool loaded A/C interior, and an extra sleek high impact color make this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Tribute one of the best all-around muscle cars you're likely to ever find. So you'd be Plum Crazy if you didn't want this one already.
Plum Crazy is from Dodge's iconic High Impact colors, and it's a year-correct paint that's a later upgrade. So it has the kind of vibrant presence to live up to its namesake. The overall finish is impressive with only some minor signs of enjoyment. Plus good rubber, clean glass, and nice shine on chrome bumpers make for good fundamentals. This coupe also has a well-done dark side. It starts with the matte black stripe that forms around the dual hood scoops. Plus, the blackout grille, full-length R/T style side stripes, rear window louvers, and Go Wing rear spoiler make it a well-coordinated look. And everything from the wide quad exhaust tips, to the Rallye wheels have that right look of Mopar performance.
All the black accenting on the outside gets you ready for a full black interior. Key areas like the seats, carpeting, door panels, and dash pad have a fresh and inviting style. You'll even spot nice details like the dome ... Please ask for the full description.

You'll even spot nice details like the dome light that greets you when the door opens. There's even a touch of wood-like paneling on the dash, doors, and the desirable center console for a vintage way to break up the darkness. There are terrific features for convenience, like a retro-style AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, a rear defogger, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And because Mopar people cherish rarity, not only do you have the rarely-seen power windows, but the P31 on the trim tag indicates this was a factory feature! You'll also appreciate how this is a great driver's car. That means a three spoke sports steering wheel, Slap Stick shifter, and the full Rallye gauge cluster with large speedo and tach.
Under the hood is what we all want to see. The 440 cubic-inch V8 is the largest displacement of the era, and so it makes these kings of the street. It has great correct pieces like the Magnum air topper and bold orange block. But what you'll really like is how this is a full performance build. We're told it was rebuilt less than 2k miles ago. Now it has been discretely upgraded with go-fast goodies such as a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and Doug's long tube headers adding power while feeding the X-pipe dual exhaust. You may even spot some of the good supporting components, like the full MSD ignition setup and a Glen-Ray Mopar radiator. The Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission was also rebuilt, and it feeds into a 3.55 limited-slip rear end for ideal all-around performance. Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, newer rear leaf spring, KYB shocks, and grippy BF Goodrich T/As, and this muscle machine is also a great cruiser.
Rare features, big power, and awesome investments all around make this a true dream Mopar... and if you're quick enough, it can be a reality in your garage. Call today!!!
