Take a long look at this 1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab. This is the first time it has ever been offered outside of its original family. And as you look at all the details, this one has a comprehensive two-tone, useful vintage features, and even upgraded V8 power. It all makes for an honest style with true family care.
This one has a great classic truck look. After all, a distinct two-tone is what we all love on a vintage machine. This one really looks cool with the factory Caribbean Turquoise swapped for a metallic green. And the white was taken to a new level. You have the factory-style pieces like the id-section and bumpers, but now there's also white on the wagon wheels, bed toolbox, and headache rack. It makes for both a more comprehensive two-tone and a more work-ready pickup. And while the paint package was updated, that was done in the 1990s. The overall impression today is a truck that's quite shiny, and at the same time, it also has a matured style from getting to work. So while you could use the value price to re-invest in freshening up the finish, we like how this has a unique mix of flair and honesty that seems to properly tell the story of a special pickup. This is a generation machine that has been in the same family since new. It has certainly gotten to work over the years, but there's also an earned distinction that comes from being a branch of a family tree.
The same two-tone color theme continues inside on the door panels, headliner, and dash. And we especially appreciate the updated green bench seat done in a comfortable velour. The full impression is similar to the exterior where they have made some improvements, but nothing ever takes away from the vintage attitude. So you have the stock gauges, the factory AM radio on display, and the classic thin/grippy steering wheel has the right worn-in feeling of the generations that have come before you.
Under the hood is an interesting upgrade. This was born with a 352 cubic-inch V8, but today you're looking at a larger 390ci unit. It is part of a workhorse lifestyle where the odometer is even said to represent the full mileage with one rollover (199k), and the replacement motor is said to have been installed about halfway through this. So just like the rest of this pickup, when you have nearly 60 years of history, even the upgrades have time to mature. It continues to fire up readily like a truck that's eager to get to work. And it has a true vintage driver feeling, right down to the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission with handy electric overdrive.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, maintenance records, and even past registration cards. We know there are plenty of you who see the potential in a classic that leaves room in your budget for exterior, interior, and engine upgrades/personalization. But there are also plenty of us who love a distinct classic that loves to wear its history. That's why this one is going to be popular. Call today!!!
