This 1968 Ford Mustang has a cool color combo, exceptional originality, and the iconic look you love in a pony car. So you can see a value-priced classic with a ton of potential.
The trim tag tells us this was born a factory Sunlit Gold coupe. That was a one-year-only color for these pony cars, and if that wasn't already interesting enough, this one shows the right signs of being the original factory application! The level of completeness means it still has a good look from a few feet away. But we bet you'll actually like it more up-close where the worn-in character that lets you wow people as you tell them it's suspected to be the same that was applied almost 55 years ago in Dearborn. But more than just survivor paint, you'll love the good body lines and completeness of everything from the brightwork to the hubcaps. There's more gold that awaits you inside which makes for a distinctive and coordinated total package. It's quite inviting with clean upholstery, good carpeting, a taut headliner, and a smooth dash. Front bucket seats, a floor shifter, and the clean readouts for 1968's large gauge package make for a good driver. There are even nice details, like the detailed steering wheel, and Philco AM/FM radio that's still cranking tunes.
We really like the overall authenticity of this car. So when you lift the hood, you see a classic 200 cubic-inch inline-six. While we all know some V8 upgrades that would fit in here nicely, there's also something quite cool about a powerhouse that remains honest, right down to the classic decals. And all the space on the side of the engine bay makes it easy to tune-up. Plus, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes (w/spare booster) are the right features for a cool/easy cruiser.
This is the icon that was born with a rare and terrific color combo, and today it's priced right so that you can give it a personal touch. Call today!!!
