AIR-COOLED 1600CC FLAT-4, 4SPD TRANS, POWER BRAKES, AWESOME RETRO COLORS, COOL!

This 1972 Volkswagen Type 2 Westfalia camper van has investments in certain areas that will definitely appeal to you. It really maximizes the go-anywhere nature of this classic, and so that means you get to turn heads as you roam from coast to coast.

This VW Bus loves to show you it's a vintage machine. It starts with the earth-tone yellow paint that has the right 1970s vibe. The white roof goes nicely with the whitewall tires (new in 2021), and the coordinating white bumpers have the desirable integrated step on the front one. It's a very complete package presented in a total style that lets people know it's a lifetime wanderer. So you just know the rear windows are ready for some fresh destination stickers.

The interior is the right mix of vintage and upgrades. It starts with the factory-style presentation for the driver that includes a low-back bucket seat, VDO gauges, and the thin/grippy steering wheel VW Bus fans know well. Even the AM radio is still cranking out tunes! This has a great classic style, but we also have over $3k in receipts for refreshing the interior within the last few years. This includes the upholstery, floor mats, heater, front shoulder belts. Plus, ... Please ask for the full description.

Plus, there's was also $1,000 in 2018 for a new Westfalia tent top that coordinates with the exterior color. And it remains a true camper with a working sink and refrigerator. The classic cabinets are still in place for good storage, and the rear section continues to be a useful space that converts from a sitting room into a fold-flat bed.

This second-generation Bus comes with plenty of engineering improvements. First of all, the 1600cc motor is more powerful than anything available in the first generation. We have a receipt for over $2k for a top-end motor rebuild in 2018. So it really upholds the road-ready attitude of these campers. The four-speed manual transmission shifts crisply. It also has modern cruising tires and front disc brakes that give you added confidence. It's a true vintage road-trip machine.

Complete with build receipts, this is the classic that has been given the right investments to remain vintage, fun, useful, and all-around desirable. Call now!
