With a uniquely designed exterior, attractive colors, long-term ownership, and plenty of V8 power under the hood - this 1964 Chrysler Newport is a long and low classic that offers distinction for quite an affordable price.
This was the final year for this generation of Newport, and so it was the last time you could still see the echoes of Virgil Exner's style. There are expensive and distinct design touches like the way the fenders are rounder at the front to flow into the headlights, and in the rear, the bumper fits into a special body stamping and trim setup. And the waistline trim is a terrific touch. It wraps around the front as the leading edge of the hood, and then it zooms down the side before it fans out like a tailfin. What makes it extra special on this car is that the special trim is the dividing line for the two-tone Nassau Blue and black. The overall finish is far from perfect, but the value price is there for anyone who wants to make an investment to create a very personal cruiser. After all, the total package is quite complete. That's because this is believed to be a life-long southern car, and it has been under the care of the same owner for the past two decades. So ... Please ask for the full description.

So you can really see a car with good fundamentals that's ready for anything from hitting the road to a restomod restoration.
The interior is quite stock, and so you'll find an attractive and vintage blue style. There are even cool factory features like the push-button transmission and provisions for air conditioning (it will likely need servicing and components to function again.) Under the current owner there were also investments in the right places to keep this a solid cruiser. You'll see it in places like the newer carpeting and Mopar sports steering wheel. We also just like the vibe this interior has. With the large size and huge clean trunk, this one feels like the ideal summer cruiser where you pick up the foursome and their golf clubs in the morning, and then on the warm evening, you pile in the family for an ice cream run.
One of the largest reasons why we see this as a cool cruiser from day one is because of the motor. You have Mopar's 361 cubic-inch V8. This is an era-correct block that may even be factory original. The consignor has taken the time over the years to treat it correctly, including replacing the carburetor, fuel pump, steering pump, and water pump. Today it makes for a strong-running powerhouse. The three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, a plush ride, and an upgraded wheel/tire package make for a better cruiser, too.
There's plenty that you can do with this Newport to really make it your own, and the value price means you will already have the budget for it. And from day one, this is highly stylized Mopar distinction. That's why you know this deal is irresistible. Call today!!!
