Description

MUST SEE PLYMOUTH PICKUP, SMOOTH RUNNING 3.3 LITER INLINE 6, 3-SPEED MANUAL, LOTS OF NEW PARTS!!!

This 1941 Plymouth PT125 half-ton pickup constitutes a rare benchmark in American truck history as it is one of just a handful of such pickups built that year - the final production year for Plymouth trucks, ending a model line that dated to Plymouth's founding in 1928.

In excellent condition, this stylish and rare truck is finished in red paint with black fenders. The bed features New White Oak wood finished with Marine grade varnish that looks great. Optional factory equipment includes passenger-side windshield wiper and dual taillights.

The interior is clean and simple, just as it was in 1941. Recently a new seat cover and headliner were installed and a fun Uga horn added. A period-correct turn signal lever lets other admiring drivers know where you are going to next. The heater system was recently restored with a new motor and switch, and the vacuum lines and wipers just replaced as well.

The PT125 was powered by Plymouth's 201-cu.in. L-head straight-six shifted through a three-speed synchronized transmission, which was new for 1941. With a compression ratio of 7.25:1 and a single Carter carburetor, the engine was rated by the manufacturer at 92 horsepower when new. This Plymouth runs great and has recently had some refurbishing that includes a completely new exhaust system, new master cylinder, new rear brake cylinders, new fuel pump, new timing chain and gear, carburetor rebuild, new rear axle seals and bearings, new clutch and pressure plate and yoke (front universal joint). Additionally, all the engine seals and oil pan seals were replaced.

This 1941 Plymouth PT125 pickup truck is rare compared to its Dodge cousin. Plymouth trucks were built on the Dodge truck line but in much smaller quantities. In 1941 only 6,073 Plymouth pickups were built, while Dodge delivered more than 54,000 half-ton trucks to the government alone. This good running and driving classic truck is full of charm and character. Its condition, style and rarity present a rare opportunity to acquire something really special. Call today!
