This 1968 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus has that iconic look we love, and it has the kind of sturdy style that keeps it useful. So this is the value-priced VW that has possibilities as vast as the open road.
We love the look of these Volkswagen Buses. Just like the Beetle, they have a distinctive shape that makes them instantly recognizable. Plus, the Type 2s were built with the kind of form that maximizes function. You even have some of the desirable earlier features, like the front bumper with an integrated step. The two-tone red and black is a nice updated style. And you don't have to be a fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks to be a fan of this van (the logos are stickers and not paint.) The fit and finish of this one are for the kind of person who doesn't want to be nervous about driving a useful classic. After all, that's what a VW Bus was born to do, and you'll see that this one really keeps that kind of personality.

The interior is the basic and sturdy Volkswagen setup. It all feels quite authentic, right down to the stock AM/FM radio that's still cranking out tunes. Up front, there are dual bucket seats, shoulder seatbelts, a tall shifter for the four-speed, and a dual-spoke steering wheel that gives you a clear view of all the gauges. Plus, a forward-control van like this always gives a great view of the road. Behind this are two full rows of seating with a newer and tasteful gray vinyl. And the liner pint floor makes this one great for carrying cargo, too. So this classic VW van is versatile for everything from tailgating to carrying product for your business.
The 1600cc flat-four motor has a longstanding reputation for durability. There is a clean look of good maintenance over the years, so it continues to be a strong motor. And these are so easy to service that it likely only needs a weekend tune-up whenever you want to make it even stronger. Out on the road, these second series Type 2s have an upgraded suspension for a better cruising nature, and you even have modern touring tires.
